The innovation awards were also organized by the GreenTech in 2018.

This year there were prizes in 4 categories: Innovation, Sustainability, Impact and Concept. The ISO Robot Plug Planting machine was nominated in the categories Innovation and Impact.

The ISO Robot Plug Planting Machine is the first machine developed by ISO on which a robot is placed on a moving platform. The robot makes it possible to plant plugs with young plants in the open ground. Until now, it was not possible for the lisianthus growers to perform the planting automatically. This is possible with the help of the ISO Robot Plug Planting machine, making heavy and labor intensive operations a thing of the past. The ISO Robot Plug Planting machine places the plugs in the growth mesh in the greenhouse. Apart from the automation, the plug is also planted more neatly and always at the correct depth.
