ISO PlantSampler (Winner GreenTech Innovation Award 2016, category Production))

In 2016, ISO was nominated for the GreenTech Innovation Award with 2 machines, for the first time in the history of GreenTech.

Both the ISO PlantSampler and the ISO Cutting and Planting 1800 machine were nominated by the jury in the Production category.

The ISO PlantSampler was chosen as the winner in the Production category.

The ISO PlantSampler makes it possible for breeders and research institutes to automatically take samples from young plants. Using 3D technology and robotics, the labour intensive process of manually sampling young plants for DNA sequencing can be automated. This makes the sampling process less prone to errors and more reliable.
